Hello and welcome to my blog!

I am a Boston-based Cybersecurity Engineer and Software Developer, supporting the infosec teams of both private and public sector organizations. I design technical solutions that overcome some of the hardest problems facing cybersecurity teams. Whether it be integrating new security tools into an existing tech stack, enhancing workflows to multiply SOC efficiency, or building out custom software to serve a specific need off-the-shelf solutions just can handle, solving these challenges is where I thrive.

Earlier in my career, I worked as an Information Security Analyst. This role saw me working in a 24/7 Security Operations Center, monitoring a real-time security alert channel, triaging potential incidents, eradicating confirmed cyber threats, and restoring compromised systems. I was also responsible for conducting organiation-wide threat hunts, answering complex data analytics questions that security tools are not designed to answer on their own.

In some ways, I like to think of myself as a Cybersecurity Generalist. What excites me most about working in cyber is the bredth of disiplines available for one to pursue, the technical expertise needed to master that dicipline, and the impact one dicipline can have across every department of an enterprise. The cybersecurity landscape is evolving at breakneck speed, and it takes the efforts of everyone in the industry to keep up. I love to learn, and this industry is evergreen with oportunities to stay curious. I hope that my enthusiasm inspires others to be excited about learning new things too.

About This Blog

Every aspect of this blog website was painstakingly assembled by me. Everything from the content you see on this page, the web server hosting this content, the VPS hosting this web server, and all the little tools in between.

I had a goal early into my career that I wanted a blog, but I wasn't satisfied with the ready-made tools on the market. Blogging sites give you little to no creative control over how your content is presented. And many of the popular web frameworks and templates are so complex that it feels impenetrable to work with them. I decided that my perfect website was one that was 100% my own; a website that I built from the ground up; a website that in which I fundamentally understand inside and out. What started out as a simple weekend project turned out to be a multi-year journey of gradual learning and experimenting, culminating in the site that you see here.

My blog is 100% hand made, and 100% free of AI. I hope you enjoy exploring my content, and I hope you learn something new.
